After 15 years of working in the publishing industry, I became a freelance writer and editor in 1988.
I received a B.A. in literature from the College of Creative Studies, UC Santa Barbara, where I was awarded two research grants to complete a senior honors thesis. I also attended the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia as a Benjamin Franklin Scholar.
